Capo Mannu Loop from Lungomare S'arena Scoada. 10 km coastal hike

ree

Cape Mannu (no relaiton to us by the way. Mannu in sardinian means 'big') is renowned in the autumn and winter for its great surfing. Even in Spring and Summer if the winds pick up from the South or the maestrales divert form their North Easterly winds you can get some pretty impressive waves. Its certainly making more of a name for itself wihtin the international surfing community. This is a 10km hike with great coastal views and only a slight incline to get up to the tower. This would be a great walk if it wa s windier day in order to take in the spectacular waves. In fact, the waves tend to have a better form one day after major winds.

Coastal hike near Oristano

The place is located https://goo.gl/maps/hv8raFvSyDZjRy6E8

We did this via mountain bike and didn't get very far because there was a lot of sand (should have guessed that given that it was a beach route!). It's a great walk. We were there and there wasn't a soul in sight. Watch the video and spot the human being (you can't!)

Road bike Aiudomaggiore Around the lake

Not for the faint-hearted this one. A 56km ride around the lake. But wow, if you are there make sure you have a mobile because you'll not meet a lot of people out of season. You are close to Fordonganus. A Roman holding with hot baths and a spa.

12Km hike around Monte Rassu

ree

If you want to get a 360 view of the coast and surrounding countryside there is no better view than up the Cuglieri mountains to Monte Rassu. It's one of the highest points and was recently badly affected by a huge forest fire in 2021. However, everything is now regrowing and it's a great hike. Hiking boots are recommended.

Bike ride from our place, up to Magomadas, down through Modolo and back home

ree

This is a great ride where you get unblievable views form Magomadas over Modolo, riding through Tuscan like landscapes, olive groves and Malvasian vinyards

The photo of Una is taken from a small bar in Modolo (https://goo.gl/maps/MzBToMPW8YiCsqX29) You just get great views right over to Bosa and the Montrestan montains.
