It's a straightforward journey from the airport and takes around an hour and a half via the scenic coastal road (your typical James Bond type of road driving, hugging mountains and incredible seascapes). The alternative is to take the SS292 which is a dual-carriageway and much easier to drive.

However, as part of your itinerary, it's a must-drive on the coastal road. Una and I went to Big Sur off the West coast of California and it's just a smaller version of it. The views are absolutely stunning with several viewpoints for you to stop the car and admire the view.
